What employers want is character

A lot of people think that their skills and abilities are the most valuable when it comes to landing a job.

WRONG!!!

The most important trait is CHARACTER.

Think about it, why would they hire someone who appears to be someone who can do no wrong based on their skills and abilities?  What every employers want is an employee who has CHARACTER.  Having character means that you can quickly bounce back from a tough situation and become stronger as a result.  I am going to use the sports analogy.  Two years ago, the Vancouver Canucks steam rolled every body en route to the Stanley Cup Finals.  Enter the Boston Bruins who gave the Canucks one hell of a time but the Canucks had no response to them.  All the Canucks knew how to do was to play with the lead but whenever they trailed, they would get picked apart because their mental strength was not strong enough to overcome adversity.

It is about how one responds to their shortcomings that make them elite.  The people who have had everything spoon fed to them are the first ones to bite the dust because they are unfamiliar with adversity.  This is why the people who have gone through the rough patches tend to be more mature and have a clearer perspective on life.

Now get out there and prove to the world that you have CHARACTER!
